Turntable Watch by Tokidoki

Remember that wrist watch shaped like a mini turntable that DJ Qbert used to wear way back in the day? Yeah I really wanted one too at the time, and since then there have certainly been several look-a-likes, the most recent of which, the Turntable Watch by Tokidoki, completely misses the mark, at least in terms of making something a real DJ would actually wear.

Although the vinyl piece does rotate, it does not indicate the time, as that function is left to what vaguely resembles a radio dial on the left side of the watch. But even more atrocious than the design and the color scheme of the watch, is the asking price of $175.

Pyle Pro Phono Pre-amp

I recently bought one of these Pyle Pro Phono Preamp’s, and its actually come in handy recently. I’m not sure what/who it was made for specifically, since it essentially just converts the phono output of a turntable to line level. It’s supposedly for people who want to connect a turntable to their stereo without using a mixer or a preamp similar to this one(which are usually much more expensive), but I thought most stereos came with phono inputs..maybe I’m wrong. Either way I’ve been using it to connect a third turntable to the AUX channel on my mixer. Perfect if you want a 3 turntable setup, but you only have a two-channel mixer.
You can get one HERE
